Set up Lifestyle Setup.
Pick your app. Setup takes about 25 minutes, and you can stop and pick it up later.
On Claude.
Download and unzip it.
Open your purchase email and click your download link. The same download works with Claude and with ChatGPT, and no account is needed. Unzip it somewhere you control and keep LICENSE.txt inside.
Open it in Claude.
Open the Claude app and open the extracted setup. If Claude asks whether you trust it, say yes. That lets it use your setup and save your files without asking every time.
Reopen it once.
The very first time only, quit Claude completely and open the setup again. On a Mac that is Cmd+Q; on Windows, close the app fully. This turns on your commands.
Type /setup.
Setup asks about you, writes it down and connects your email and calendar. Give it about 20 to 25 minutes. You can stop partway and pick it up later. If /setup stays gray, reopen the app once more.
On ChatGPT.

Show hidden files.
Part of the setup sits in a folder whose name starts with a dot, which your computer hides. On a Mac, press Cmd, Shift and the period key in Finder. On Windows, click View, then check Hidden items.
Create a Project.
In ChatGPT, create a new Project and upload the files START-HERE.md lists for ChatGPT: everything about you, the rules file, your board and the commands you will use. Add each extra skill only when you want it.
Paste the instructions.
Open CHATGPT-INSTRUCTIONS.md, copy the part below the line and paste it into the Project instructions. Then type setup.
Save its work back.
ChatGPT cannot write into your files. When it prints something that belongs in them, save it and upload it back into the Project, because those uploads are all it remembers between conversations.
